Dana has an eclectic experience as an individual, couple and family counsellor and social worker who has specialized expertise in working with high-conflict situations within families, parenting dynamics, and separation and divorce. Her specialization extends to areas of trauma-based mental health with a particular focus on personality disorder traits, complex grief and loss and multidimensional high-conflict situations.
Dana’s passion for clinical work and her sincere belief in human resilience is directly reflected in her extensive work with survivors of intimate partner violence, individuals with severe mental health issues such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and other trauma-related events, as well as families involved in high-conflict separations and divorce. In addition, Dana has demonstrated a successful approach when coaching individuals, couples and families during major life transitions and stressful events.
Dana has a Master degree in Social Work (MSW) as well as a Master degree in Law (LLM) in Alternative Dispute Resolution. She has worked in the social services, health care (particularly mental health) and academia as a therapeutic counsellor, coach and mentor for 20 years. Her clinical approach based on integrity and transparency, is grounded on the belief that the client and therapist must work together in an open and honest environment to support the client’s needs, goals and opportunities.
Dana is a member of Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers and her services are covered under most workplace benefit packages.
